Americano and Medlock Ames Present the Art of Cheese and Wine Making
WHAT: Executive Chef Kory Stewart of Americano at Hotel Vitale will highlight the restaurant’s handcrafted fare by demonstrating how to make fresh mozzarella cheese. Following the cheese-making demonstration, Ames Morrison of Medlock Ames will discuss winemaking at the environmentally sustainable winery located in Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley. Chef Stewart will then present a special four-course dinner served family style with communal seating on Americano’s patio (weather permitting). The menu includes Smoked Ricotta Stuffed Squash Blossoms with Cherry Tomatoes; Heirloom Melon and Mozzarella Salad with Almond Vinaigrette and Basil; and Ricotta and Bing Cherry Crostata with Cherry Pit Ice Cream and Saba. The dinner will feature fresh fruits and vegetables grown at Medlock Ames.
